Consumerism has made us addicted to our devices and to acquiring material possessions to prove to other people, who let us be honest, are often not important to us, that we are succeeding.
This pursuit of ‘perception or success’, is so often inversely proportionate to our happiness.
I value experiences, more than things. It is why I love tourism and why I want to see destinations succeed. I want a world where kids share this priority.
Experiences, particularly those we do for intrinsic reasons, fulfill us.
They are lasting. They guide us and mold us.
Experiences make us better. That is why I love tourism.
