Most of the time, AI agrees with you. You explain a decision, it tells you why it’s a good one, and you walk away feeling sure of something you haven’t really tested.

This skill fixes that. You describe a decision, a plan or an idea, and Claude runs it past a board of six advisers. Each one takes a turn and pushes back from a different angle, then the Chair sums up where they agree and where they don’t.

What it does

  • Plays back your decision first, in a few sentences, so you can check it’s understood before anyone weighs in.
  • Goes around the table. Each adviser says what they see, where they’d push back, what they’d want to know, and their bottom line.
  • Makes them disagree. Every adviser has to challenge at least one other, so you get a real argument rather than six people nodding.
  • Ends with the Chair, who lists the tensions, the points of agreement and a suggested next step. The Chair never tells you what to do. That’s still your call.

Who’s on the board

  1. The CFO. The numbers, the cash and what you’re assuming without checking.
  2. The Creative Lead. How it feels, and whether it sits right with your customers and your brand.
  3. The Sceptic. The weakest link, and what could go wrong.
  4. The Growth Lead. The real case for why this could work.
  5. The Innovator. What else you could do instead.
  6. The Chair. Keeps it moving and closes the meeting.

When to use it

Pricing changes, a new hire, a big spend, a launch, a partnership, or any decision you’re “pretty sure” about. It isn’t for small everyday choices.

The six seats are adapted from Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, given business roles. There’s more on why it works in Why AI Always Agrees With You.

How to install it

You need a paid Claude plan (Pro or above). It takes about a minute.

  1. Download the file using the button on this page. Leave it as a .zip, don’t open it.
  2. Open Claude, either at claude.ai or in the Claude app, and go to Settings, then Capabilities.
  3. Make sure Code execution and file creation is switched on. Skills need it.
  4. Under Skills, click Upload skill and choose the file you downloaded.
  5. Start a new chat and ask for it in plain English, for example: “Run this past the board: I’m thinking of putting my prices up 15% in January.”

That’s it. Claude now knows the whole process and follows it every time you ask.
